There was a time when I used to ask everyone “I want ideas on making baskets for Christmas gifts”. But now I myself can give you fabulous ideas for free; which I learned over the years. Cheers and enjoy them!!!!

  • Start saving money for the next Christmas, right after this Christmas. I am not joking, keep a piggy bank and save a little money everyday, so that it won’t be a burden on you when the next Christmas is arriving.
  • Buy Christmas ornaments and small gifts that do not have an expiry problem after Christmas or when Christmas is not around. The prices have a major difference when the Christmas is approaching. Keep looking all around the year and save money by buying things from sales that are happening all the year.

  • Some cheap stores like 1 Dollar shops at times have very great yet inexpensive items; keep browsing them every other week whenever you get time.
  • Buy baskets and containers from shop garage sales and thrift stores, and then decorate them to save the time and money. This will also help you to not to get into last moment hustle. A basket made with love and care with extra time spent on it always does shows. Won’t you like your beloved one to feel that it’s just him/her for whom you went the extra mile?
  • Buy items in sets and divide among baskets. Buy a four-pack of nail polish for four ladies baskets or buy packs of whistles or other party favors for the kids. At times you get a better chance to buy better things at lesser prices, when they are in a pack or like a wholesale item. Take individual popcorn, coffee or cocoa packets out of their boxes. They will fill the basket better.
  • Use cellophane bags to package your mixes. They are inexpensive when purchased at party stores or florists. Similarly you can make paper baskets or decorate plain cartons to look fine and expensive. Only you know how less it costs.
  • It is not necessary for the gifts to be expensive to look good. The right thing for the right person counts a lot. Things that are generally more admired are what the one can use or he/she needs. So don’t worry about the price, the gifts can be as simple as tea bags in a tea cup tied with a pretty ribbon. A large soup mug and saucer with soup mix or a small glass bowl with some potpourri might also make a simple but nice gift.
  • Other cheap options to make Christmas gift baskets that look great and can be gathered all over the year are Christmas ornaments (sale bought or hand-made by you), decorative lights, candles, pre-recorded Christmas music or may be even stuffed Santa.

So how was it? I hope by giving 5 minutes to read this article; you’ll be able to save enough money for a room’s renovation at the Christmas!!!!!!
