Paper baskets and paper bag baskets are really fun to make and look so pretty. Colored papers and nice patterns can make the theme look so obvious and gives an allusive vibrant look

Paper basket making can be made by using various basket making techniques including paper basket craft folding and paper basket using weaving. But for both the techniques the basic thing you need apart from paper is instructions on making a paper basket and template for a paper basket.

Making paper basket can be difficult or easy depending upon the pattern and the template. Paper baskets can be used on almost all the occasions, just make sure that this is stiff enough to hold a few things and won’t deform.

Paper baskets though are mostly known as children to do crafts but you can make them as well, using them on various occasions including Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, Easter, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, and Gift baskets for men, women, children and all, almost on every occasion.

So you want to make one such simple paper basket? Here are the details for a free printable paper craft basket:

1. Print the basket pattern from any website on a color printer. One such website is www.basketmakers.org Here you can find many free patterns to download. Choose one right accordingly to your gift basket. Do check out the Halloween ones. I really like them personally.

2. Now glue the page onto a heavier paper stock if desired. If your printer is capable of printing on thicker papers or card sheets, it’s more than whet you want.

3. Now cut the basket out carefully. Be sure to use a sharp knife and cut out neatly. AS for those who are not skilled crafters, go for the patterns who do not have fine detailed work to cut out otherwise you’ll get stuck!!!

4. Crease along each fold line. When creasing make sure that you have placed it on the flat hard surface and your hands are clean, free from any stickiness caused by lotions or creams and are freshly washed and dried. Folding the crease with dirty hands can make the creases look dirty.

5. Fold the sides of the basket, according to the pattern. Make sure that you fold it rightly on the right side up.

6. Fold the tabs to the inside of the basket. Now your basket will ne taking the shape, make sure they go into their places with right order and does not cause any crimpling in the paper folds.

7. Glue tabs to the adjoining edge. Use a glue stick, it provides better and neat results than any other liquid glues.

8. Glue the handle together at the top, overlapping the edges. Give the basket enough time to get dry. Better if you leave it for 24 hours before stuffing in the things.

9. Fill with candies and tiny treasures or gifts. But don’t put too heavy things in it; it may cause the paper basket to tear apart.
