Making Paper Basket - Instructions & Templates On Making A Paper Basket Weaving
Making Paper Basket
Paper baskets and paper bag baskets are really fun to make and look so pretty. Colored papers and nice patterns can make the theme look so obvious and gives an allusive vibrant look.
Paper basket making can be made by using various techniques including paper basket craft folding and paper basket using weaving. But for both the techniques the basic thing you need apart from paper is instructions on making a paper basket and template for a paper basket.
Making paper basket can be difficult or easy depending upon the pattern and the template. Paper baskets can be used on almost all the occasions, just make sure that this is stiff enough to hold a few things and won’t deform.
Paper baskets though are mostly known as children to do crafts but you can make them as well, using them on various occasions including Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, and Gift baskets for men, women, children and all, almost on every occasion.
So ready to make one such simple paper basket? Here are the details:
Materials and supplies:
1. Poster board, thin card sheets, stiff paper or construction
paper. Some origami papers also come in stiff ranges that are ideal
to make baskets.
2. Pencil or fine marker
3. Ruler.
4. Paper scissors and small metallic scissors.
5. Brass paper fasteners, paper clips will also do.
6. You can have optional things for decorative purposes. Use laces,
sequins, paints, caryons, stickers, charms and any craft foam cut
out shapes.
Procedure:
• Decide the base size of the basket. Here I’ll tell you about almost 6" base, but when assembled measures approximately 10" long and 8" wide.
• Measure and draw a square three times larger than your base. For a 6" inch base, draw a 18" inch square. Divide the square into nine equal squares.
• Measure and cut out a handle. It will need to be about one-quarter to one-third longer than the length of your square.
w• You can decide how upright or how widespread you want the basket to be by adjusting the position of the ends; in this example, by adjusting the position of "1," "3," "4" and "6."
Once the position is established, mark a spot on the center end pieces ("2" and "4") where the paper fastener will go. Remember the fastener will have to go through all three of the folded ends.
• Pierce the paper at this spot. You will need to pierce each of the three folded ends in the spot that you want the paper fastener to go. Pierce the handle, about a half inch in from either end.
Place the paper fastener first through the two folded-in ends ("1" and "3," "4 and "6"), then hrough the handle, and finally through the upright folded end ("2" and "5"). And this is just complete….Feeling excited? You should be.
This paper basket was simpler than boiling the egg. Isn’t it? So what are you waiting for by still staring the screen? Get up and get moving, after half an hour you will be sure done
