Making Your Own Fruit Basket

Out of all the eating options; fruits are the best to grab. Found all over the world in abundance. No allergy issues. No need to cook them and spend time on them.

Grab one and eat it… Sounds like simple and healthy to me, what about you? Fruits; as the recent studies claims, are the best things to eat.

No cholesterol, no fats, no harmful toxins, no colors, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, lots of vitamins, minerals and extreme fibrous content.

All that you need is in one package, simply great. Let’s share something healthy on a special day so that you can live a healthy long life to celebrate such occasions for long!!! Let’s make a perfect gift for anyone who is special enough that you care for his/her health as well.

From apples and pears, to nuts and berries, the scrumptious selection of sweet, delicious fruits will please even the most critical fruit lovers!

You can make a fruit themed fruit basket with a theme like Northwest Pears, Apples, Peaches, Nectarines, Bing Cherries, Rainer Cherries, Blueberries, or you can make some fruit baskets with special seasonal fresh fruit selections.

Some fresh fruit gift baskets may also be complemented with gourmet selections such as Smoked Salmon, Fine Cheeses, Chocolate Covered Cherries or Blueberries, Mixed Nuts, and more.

Fruit baskets are very easy to make (check out how to make basket weaving). They do not need to be long planned nor needs extra efforts. All you need is some well picked, fine-looking and fresh fruits, a basket (woven traditional baskets look great to use in fruit gift baskets.

Other options are metallic food baskets or small card cartons), some fillers (which can be crumpled tissue papers or cellophane strips or anything that is soft and does not cause damage to fruits), perforated cellophane papers (transparent or very light colors are preferred;

why not use the real colors of the fruits themselves?) and some colorful ribbons either silk ribbons or metallic ribbons. Before you just stuff the fruits in the basket, you should have some tips to get them a perfect look as well. Always make the fruit basket at the last moment.

Not at the eleventh hour but just make it a few hours before leaving to the occasion. Always layer the fruits by placing the harder fruits at the base and the more ripe, soft and juicy ones at the top. Do place the fillers between the layers.

Make sure the fruits are well dried and don’t have any moisture on their surface as you might not like those little droplets gathered in the cellophane paper.

Do check every piece, and exclude the ones with spots that have potential to get rotten soon. Place smaller fruits on top or at the brims of the baskets. Always use perforated cellophane to keep it aerated.

Make it this way and your special ones would be really thankful to you to consider their health the way you care for yourself. Have a healthy long life with your loved ones with you!!!!
